RADIO PASSION VINTAGE
Specialist in vintage tech, restoring your antique radios to life.
My Mission: Restoring and Preserving Radio History
Passionate about antique radios, I am dedicated to preserving and restoring these remarkable witnesses to 20th-century technical, cultural, and aesthetic history. Serving as both everyday objects and collector’s items, they represent a precious heritage that deserves to be maintained and kept alive.
My commitment focuses on two main areas:
Preserving Radio Heritage: Identifying, collecting, and protecting historic receivers (vacuum tube TSF radios, Bakelite sets, vintage transistors) to save them from obscurity and prevent them from being discarded.
Restoring and Upgrading Your Devices: Repairing both the original electronic circuitry and the cabinet woodwork. For modern convenience, I also offer subtle Bluetooth or FM module integrations, allowing you to enjoy your radio every day while preserving its authentic period design.
By blending authenticity with contemporary technology, my shop brings history-filled objects back to life and actively contributes to keeping our industrial and acoustic heritage alive.
The company
My Business Has Just Launched!
My primary mission is to preserve and celebrate the heritage of vintage radios.
Located in Vienne (86), between Chauvigny and Montmorillon near Poitiers, the business offers repair and sales services for vintage electronics.
My experience
From working on vacuum-tube TSF radios and vintage TVs to integrated circuits and microprocessors, and experiencing the dawn of personal computing in the 1980s, I have personally handled the entire electronic revolution over the past half-century.
This mastery of analog electronics and component-level troubleshooting is a rare and valuable skill today. Keeping this passion for vintage TSF alive over the decades provides true credibility and a strong foundation for our association project in Vienne.
The pleasure of listening to an antique radio
There is a special kind of magic in seeing an antique radio come back to life.
When the magic eye tube glows with its deep green light, the glass dial softly illuminates, and the first note resonates, the emotion is instant. It is no longer just an object sitting on a shelf: it is a piece of history waking up and filling the room with its warm presence.
Listening to a restored TSF radio offers a truly unique acoustic pleasure. The fine wooden cabinet, seasoned by time, gives the music a warmth and depth far removed from the cold, synthetic sound of modern speakers. It delivers an enveloping, authentic tone that brings real soul to voices and instruments.
Blending this vintage cabinet craftsmanship with today's technology creates a seamless bridge between two eras. Thanks to the subtle integration of an FM and Bluetooth module, the TSF radio retains all its vintage soul without sacrificing modern convenience. With just the touch of a button, you can switch from a local FM station to streaming your own playlists straight from your smartphone.
Giving a voice back to these forgotten radios preserves a craft, reveals the beauty of past artistry, and offers the everyday joy of exceptional sound filled with history and nostalgia.
